| Out of this world!
When we walked into 014 we saw the eager y7's getting their creative juices flowing and putting their drawing skills to use in “Amazing Aliens!”
The aim of the task is to create an alien, from your own imagination or inspiration around you, then describe the monster to your partner, using interesting adjectives, to help them to reform the alien without actually seeing it.
One boy got inspiration from a music speaker at the front of the classroom! Others used inspiration from television programmes, comics and films, and others simply used their own creative minds.
This task is set to challenge children's communication skills and ways of describing with complex and relevant adjectives.
Most of them seemed to be really concentrating, focusing and enjoying the task at hand. However, one believed it to be pointless and was rather close-minded about it. While we were looking around, though, we thought it a really good challenge, and a great excuse to put a range of skills into use.
