| Organised Origami
There was a deadly silence as we approached 206.
We peered in through the door, to see a class of only a few students listening eagerly as the teacher told them what to do. They were making a crane out of just one sheet of paper.
Everyone in the room was concentrating hard, as they made their next crease and negotiated their next fold, looking up occasionally to see whether theirs matched the teacher's.
Earlier, we spoke to Alicia as she had made some origami earlier that day. She said, “It was very interesting. It was difficult, but fun at the same time and I learned a lot of new skills.” She seemed genuinely happy with what she had made in her lesson and wanted to do it again.
So, this is what Cross Curriculum day is all about, doing new things but learning at the same time.
