Our Top 5 Tips for making an application to Tapton Sixth Form
Thinking about studying at Tapton School in September? The application deadline is 31st January for both paper and UCAS Progress applications.
Here are our Top 5 Tips when making your application:
1. Register with UCAS Progress
You can use UCAS Progress to search and apply for courses. If you attend a school in Sheffield, you should have received guidelines from your current school.
We do accept paper applications if you currently attend a school outside of Sheffield (or attend a school in Sheffield that doesn't use UCAS Progress).
2. Research your Subject Options
We are proud of the wide range of subjects we offer in Sixth Form at Tapton. There may be some that you haven't considered yet. All subject information is available on our website and our staff are always happy to discuss our course offer in more detail.
3. Consider your combination of subjects
Choosing the right combination now will help you at Post-18, even if you aren't sure what you want to do yet! Take a look at the Informed Choices sheet on our website and get in touch if you need any further advice.
4. Check the Entry Requirements
These will be highlighted on the subject information on our website. If your grades do change get in touch and let us know.
5. Keep in touch
If you have applied via UCAS Progress keep an eye on the message board online, if we have a question about your application we will message you via this. If you have applied with a paper application, we will use the email address on the form to contact you if we have any queries.
You can contact our Sixth Form at any time during your application, and it isn't too late to visit Tapton if you have not already applied (an appointment must be pre-booked). Call us on 0114 294 1174 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
