Geography is traditionally a very popular subject amongst students of all ages and abilities. We have large numbers of students who opt to follow our courses at both GCSE and A-Level. All of our department staff are highly qualified professionals who have a great passion for the subject, as well as a commitment to ensuring that students value everyone, care for each other and achieve to their potential.
Our teaching attempts to be dynamic and varied in style, as well as being relevant to students in today’s global society. Activities range from the volcano building competition and sushi making in Key Stage 3 to Coastal Fieldwork in Key Stage 4. Fieldwork is a vital component and recent trips have varied from local to international scale. In the past academic year alone, trips have ranged from Manchester to Flamborough Head and from The Lake District to Iceland!
