Student Leadership

Tapton School provides an array of formal and informal opportunities for students to become involved in student leadership activities across all key stages. These range from teaching and learning experiences in the classroom to formal initiatives and programmes such as the Key Stage 3 Student Leadership Challenge and the Key Stage 4 and 5 SSAT Student Leadership Accreditation  (a national certification of student leadership). These initiatives encourage students to demonstrate , evidence and collate their leadership skills across the curriculum, within the extra-curricular programme and through any wider involvement in leadership activities out of school. At Tapton School the Year and Student Councils, the Prefect System and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme are just some of the activities on offer that enable students to acquire, develop and demonstrate their leadership skills.
