  • A Level Congratulations

    Published 18/08/22

Following years of unprecedented disruption to their education, students at Forge Valley and Tapton Secondary Schools received their A-Level grades today.

The Year 13 students, who were the first students in 2 years to sit formal exams, celebrated their results alongside their friends and teachers.

Scott Burnside, Director of Secondary Education for Tapton School Academy Trust, said: “I am extremely proud of the achievements of all of our Y13 students.

I am pleased that the fantastic relationships between students, staff and families, alongside enormous hardwork, has seen so many successful outcomes.”

Covid-19 has had a profound impact on this year group, with the entire A-Level course disrupted. Students have shown incredible resilience in order to secure their results, and open up Post 18 pathways, as they continue to realise their life chances and dreams.

Scott continued: “Our students now move onto varied destinations including university, apprenticeships and jobs. We look forward to them making a real impact on the future.”
