High Achievement Shines Through in GCSE Success

We are proud to report another year of strong outcomes which reflect students’ determination, ambition and the support of their teachers and families.
Across the board, Tapton students achieved impressive results, with 84% securing at least a grade 4 in English and mathematics, while 40% of all grades awarded were grades 9-7. The school’s overall average grade was an impressive 5.75, underlining our commitment to excellence across all subjects.
While every student’s achievements are worthy of celebration, some stand-out individual performances also deserve recognition. Students Dharshini, Claire, Keira and Jiuge each achieved a full suite of grade 9s – a reflection of their talent and dedication.
Kat Rhodes, Headteacher, said:
“We are really proud of the achievements of all our Year 11s. They are going on to a range of destinations and we wish them all the best. This year group joined us in September 2020, at the height of the COVID pandemic. Their resilience and fortitude throughout their time at Tapton deserve a great deal of praise.
“Thank you to all students for their hard work and to the staff and families that have supported them to achieve excellence.”
