The Tapton KS4 boys basketball team came out on top in an overtime thriller in Nottingham to keep up their 100% record in the National Schools competition.

In a game where Tapton threatened to pull away on several occasions, a stubborn Becket side refused to go away and eventually forced overtime with the scores locked at 54-54 as the buzzer went for the end of regulation time.

Key scores followed by tenacious rebounding on the defensive end in an exciting extra period saw Tapton over the line in a hard fought 61-59 victory.
